- On the quotation provided a full Upvc specifications will be listed, ie. Colour of hardware etc.
- If any changes are to be made then a written confirmation is required from you the customer, we will agree to the changes specified and will confirm in writing, upon receipt you must reconfirm your acceptance in writing for the contract to become legally binding.
- A contract will only become official once we have received a written confirmation or email.
- The price of the work include VAT set out by HRMC.
- The purpose of a survey is to confirm the design and technical specification of windows and doors to make sure we can properly install them.
- We will always survey accurately before any work proceeds.
- The products we supply and install are made to measure and made to customers specific requirements, which are exempt from the right to cancel under the consumer contracts information, cancellation and additional changes regulation 2013. In accordance with the GGF consumer code of good practice, we provide you with a right to cancel without charge up to 7 calendar days starting from the day after your acceptance of the works, if you cancel the contracts in line with the procedures outlined on the cancellation form, we will refund any deposits taken by Wetherby Glass Ltd.
- We will contact you when the products are ready for installation and agree an installation date, we will do our best to keep this date, sometimes there may be a delay for reasons beyond our control for which we cannot be held responsible, if there is this type of delay, we will complete the work as soon as possible.
- We will either ring or email or write to you, confirming the installation date. Access must be allowed to your property to complete the installation, if however you do not allow installation with 14 days of agreed installation date, you agree to pay 60% of the full amount you owe, when we receive this amount we will store the frames for up to 26 weeks without charge.
- If we cannot install the product on the date we have agreed, we wil contact you and will do our best to offer you the next earliest convenient date. If we do not install he goods within 3 months of the date we originally agreed, you may cancel the contract and we wil refund any deposits you have paid to us.
- We will always use great care and good working practices when carrying out the installation of your windows and doors, if however we damage your property during installation, we will repair the damage back to the original state, for example; plastering if required, we do not decorate.
- Once the work is completed and paid for in full we will pass the details on to Fensa and the insurance company who will in turn send your paperwork to you, normally within 28 – 40 days.
- We guarantee to repair or replace any faulty products, our 10 year guarantee covers upvc products against colourfast, double glazed units against condensation. Fixtures and fittings come with 12 months guarantee on finish coating and 10 years mechanical workings however window and door furniture can tarnish when exposed to the atmosphere, this tarnishing can be accelerated if the surface is damaged by keys / rings or other jewellery. If this kind of damage is apparent, the guarantee may become invalid.
- The guarantee will no longer apply if:
- Any person we have not authorised has carried out repairs or alterations to the products
- The product has been damaged by vandalism / accident / misuse.
- All glass products, we cannot guarantee against any imperfections or variations in the glass making process but we use the best quality glass and process during manufacturing, we will always change double glazed units shout it arise.
